It was sounding fair, typical guitar. Gary wanted new pick ups.
Replaced pick-ups and made wiring modifications to the tone control and added a blend switch. And now it roars!

Russian Guitar- Made during Soviet Era
It had switches that didn’t make contact, so it didn’t work. The screws it used appeared to be finishing nails shaped into screws. The parts were crazy and looked hand made by someone. I had to go in and clean the contacts. Got it all working right, and back to the customer and he was happy with it.

Fender Super Champ owned by Tony Alonso
Reverb didn’t work and I fixed it. Fixed problem and customer was happy with the result.

Dukane Amp – Open Part Surgery
Old 50's Era PA Amp converted into a guitar amp, that was botched with an incorrect output transformer. I replaced the transformer and several other parts and made it work as a good guitar amp.

1950 Bogen Challenger (Work in Progress)
Found behind a dumpster – Have stripped down to bare chassis and repainted it. Put on a larger output transformer. Put in new tube complement. Targeted for Richie Onori of the Sweet and a sound he wants.

Ry Cooder Amp – 1963 Fender Showman
Dave Tourje bought it from Ry Cooder – He said Amp worked but the sound was weaker than it should be. He wanted me to put in new output tubes. I used a type of tube which is not made today and extremely rare. I found four new output tubes on E-Bay to replace the tubes and did the settings to adjust it to best performance. Also fixed a gain problem on the main channel due to an off-value resistor. Dave was very pleased with the product.

Fender Bassbreaker
This guitar amp new model had a problem with two of its four output tubes red plating (plates going red hot) which was alarming. The problem turned out to be a shorted diode in the circuit where the red plating tubes were. I replaced the diode with a new one and that fixed it. I also recommended a new set of output tubes and replaced the existing ones. This meant he could now sell it as he wanted to do.

We handle “Cat”astrophes with your equipment -
I handle re-cap jobs, red plating output tubes, and amp just plain doesn’t work! I can take your sound from a “meow” to a “roar”
